The Excitement of Brazil

The Exuberance of the People

The excitement of Brazil, the exuberance of the people and its incredibly breathtaking landscape will stay in your memory forever more.

Even though many carnivals are celebrated in other towns and villages throughout Brazil and other Catholic countries, Rio de Janeiro has long been regarded as the carnival capital of the world. The Rio Carnival is the biggest carnival and one of the most interesting artistic events on the planet.

All of the music played during Rio Carnival is samba, a unique Brazilian music originating from Rio, a dance form that was invented by the poor Afro-Brazilians.

Rio Carnival is a wild 4 day celebration, 40 days before Easter. It usually happens in February, which is the hottest month and the Rio summer is at its peak.

Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro is blessed with a wonderful natural setting between the mountain peaks of Sugar Loaf and Corcovado, with a truly magnificent wonder of the world in the statue of Christ the Redeemer, looking down upon the almost 8 million locals dancing the samba and having a high-spirited life.

Rio de Janeiro is famous for what many consider to be the world's most beautiful setting: the azure Atlantic Ocean, lush mountains, Sugarloaf Mountain rising up steeply from the sea, and its paradise beaches - all in a tropical climate.

Sun-Drenched Beaches

Rio de Janeiro is a city that will amaze, delight and fascinate you. From the sun-drenched beauty of its white sand beaches, the rhythmic samba dancing and its art and cultural heritage, Rio really offers an unbeatable combination.

The Iguassu Falls

The IguassuFalls is one of the most important tourist sights in Brazil; it is situated on the frontiers of Brazil and Argentina. UNESCO lists it as a Natural Heritage of Humanity with its subtropical forest that includes an abundance of flora and fauna.

Iguassu Falls is a really incredible waterfall system which stretches 1.65 miles long, with waterfalls that reach up to 260ft high. The Brazilian side of the falls offers spectacular panoramic views of this amazing wonder of nature and the Argentina side offers more intimate access to the falls.

There you can take the half hour walk along a half mile trail that goes deep into the jungle before emerging to see the incredible breathtaking views of the Iguassu Falls.
